Customer feedback for retail
Once the customer has paid, they are gone. Their problem does not have to go straight to Google.
A QR code at the checkout or on the receipt gives them two equal options: contact you privately or leave a public review. If they send you a low rating, you are alerted within a minute and can respond directly.
HejSpoko helps retailers capture dissatisfaction after a purchase before it exists only as a public review. A customer scans a QR code at the checkout or on the receipt and can contact the store privately or review it publicly. A low private rating alerts the owner or manager within a minute.
After payment, they leave
What happens when a customer notices a problem after buying?
Retail gives you little time to react on site. The customer pays, takes the purchase and leaves.
QR code directly to Google
An unhappy customer has one route: a public review. You learn about the problem only after it has been published.
QR code through HejSpoko
The customer also sees an option to contact you directly. If they use it and leave a low rating, you are alerted within a minute and can respond privately.
A simple process
How does feedback after a purchase work?
The customer needs neither an app nor a HejSpoko account.
They scan the QR code
The code is available at the checkout or on the receipt. It opens a single rating screen.
They choose where to write
Before submitting any rating, they see equal options to contact the store privately or continue to a public review.
You learn about the problem quickly
A low rating alerts the owner or manager. If the customer provided contact details, you can reply by email and continue the conversation.
Place the code correctly
Where should a retail QR code be placed?
Use a point that is part of every completed purchase.
The QR code belongs at the checkout or on the receipt. Customers can see it while completing the purchase or return to it later if they notice a problem only after opening the product at home.
Different QR sources can be distinguished in the overview. This shows where a submission came from and gives the owner more context about the purchase or location concerned.
Some reports can also help immediately. If a customer flags an incorrect shelf price, staff can check it before another customer encounters the same issue.

- QR code on the receipt
- Feedback distinguished by QR source
- Alert for a low rating
Google stays available
Why is a free QR code directly to Google not enough?
Google reviews matter. HejSpoko does not replace them; it adds a second option for customers who want to contact you directly.

No review gating
Can the system send only satisfied customers to Google?
No. In HejSpoko, this is not merely disabled by policy; the interface makes it technically impossible.
The option to contact you and the option to leave a public review appear at the same time, before the customer submits a rating. Both have equal status, and neither is displayed according to the number of stars selected.
HejSpoko therefore does not hide dissatisfied customers from Google. It adds a second route: tell you directly what went wrong so that you know about the issue and can respond.
- Both options appear before the rating is submitted
- The public review option is never hidden based on stars
- Private feedback and public reviews have equal status
Questions and answers
Frequently asked
Where should the QR code be placed in a store?
The most practical places are at the checkout and on the receipt. Customers encounter the code when completing a purchase and can also use it later if they discover a problem at home. HejSpoko can distinguish which QR source a particular submission came from.
Does HejSpoko replace Google reviews?
No. A public review remains available as an equal option. HejSpoko adds a second route: a private message directly to the store. This can let the owner learn about the issue earlier and respond directly instead of knowing about it only from a public review profile.
What happens after a low rating?
The owner or manager receives a phone alert within a minute. The overview shows the rating, comment, feedback category and QR source. If the customer provided contact details, the store can reply by email and, depending on the situation, may also choose to include compensation.
Can HejSpoko show Google only to satisfied customers?
No. The private feedback option and public review option are displayed before the rating is submitted. Google therefore cannot be shown or hidden according to the number of stars. This type of review gating is not merely switched off or discouraged in HejSpoko; the interface makes that condition impossible.
